Information in the app
Counter Fruit only keeps what you enter to track ripeness. This information is created by you, saved on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.
- Pieces on the counterThe variety, the day a piece landed on the counter, its ripe window and whether you marked it Eaten, Tossed or Left early.
- Thumb pressesFirm, Gives or Soft, with the day each press was recorded.
- Variety cardsThe window length, your own ready sign text and which cards are on the shelf.
PreferencesYour kitchen pace, the varieties picked during setup and whether setup was completed.

How it is used
The information is used for one purpose: to show you when each piece of fruit should be ready. The app adds the variety window to the day a piece landed, adjusts it for your kitchen pace, and keeps a record of what was eaten, tossed or left early so your cards can get more accurate over time.
All of these calculations happen on your device. We do not sell, rent, share or transfer your information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Network and third parties
Counter Fruit works fully offline. The only time the app connects to the internet is when you open Privacy Policy from the Leaving tab. That screen loads this page in a private in-app browser that does not keep cookies or website data after it closes.
When this page is opened, the website host may receive standard technical details that every browser sends, such as an IP address and device type, to deliver the page. These details are not linked to anything you track in the app.
The app does not include third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, social login or crash reporting.
Keeping and deleting
Your information stays on your device until you remove it. You can:
- Remove one pieceOpen a piece on the Counter tab or in the record and choose Remove.
- Clear the recordOn the Leaving tab, Clear the record removes every piece that has left the counter.
- Delete the appDeleting Counter Fruit removes all of its data from your device.
Information in the app may be included in your own device backups, such as iCloud or computer backups, according to the settings you choose for your device. Those backups are managed by you and your device provider, not by us.
Children, rights and changes
Children. Counter Fruit is a general kitchen tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because we do not collect or hold your information on our side, everything the app keeps is already in your hands on your device. You are welcome to contact us with any question about these rights.
Security. Your entries are protected by the security of your device, including its passcode and the data protection built into iOS.
Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
